About Amiko
What's Amiko?
Amiko is the platform to find and keep new friends, through social-first events.
We do that by generating a tailored-made tribe for you: a community of users near you, around your age group & with similar interests. As part of your local tribe, you are able to:
1. Participate in high-quality, safe, enriching social-first activities to meet members of your tribe! We aim to have an event near you every day, when we are a bit bigger!
2. Organise activities yourself to share your passion and meet new friends, while being supported by our community team. Soon, you'll even have a budget to do so.
3. Connect with your tribe on our platform, stay in touch, and try new events almost every day.
Who is behind it?
The founding team consists of Andrea Venzon and Colombe Cahen-Salvador. They have long and relevant experience in launching movements & scaling them in tens of major cities across the world fast.
The platform is social-minded: it welcomes all people based on respect and acceptance of others!
How far along is Amiko?
Right now, we are testing our beta version that we launched in London at the beginning of May. So far, we received amazing feedback, and decided to move towards a tribe model after testing it as a marketplace of events.
For now, you get to join the tribe for free, but down the line, we will ask users to pay a small membership fee to finance events, enable organisers to prepare them well, and grow the business!
At this stage, we offer Amiko to a limited set of users and organisers in London, before launching later in the year with a full product!
